Reincar(Nate) Trailer

video

So, I've been noodling around, trying to cut a video for the Reincar(Nate) Kickstarter drive (and when I say noodling around, I mean countless frustrating hours figuring out how to edit and dub clips, banging on my computer like an ape trying to open a can of soup). At last, I've created a clip I'm happy with. But, in the process, I also created this trailer (of sorts) for the book. It's by no means professional but, still, I think it's a lot of fun. And it's a nice teaser for the drive, which launches this Monday!

Omega Family!

In addition to Hoax Hunters, Steve and I have been hard at work at a couple other projects. One of which is The Omega Family, a short that will be published with Double Feature in April. What's got us excited about this project--elated, in fact--is to be working with Tom Scioli. Steve and I have admired his work for a long, long time; we share a deep love for the awesomeness that is Godland, UnMortals, and American Barbarian. If I had a list of the top things I'd like to accomplish while working in comics, collaborating with Tom would be one of them. So, check!

As for The Omega Family, the story is intended to be a fun, action-packed, weird romp in the vein of Space Family Robinson by way of Jack Kirby. Steve and I had a blast writing it, and Tom's art has made this story work in a way no other artist could. Look for it next month!

Reincar(Nate), Redux

Yes, Keith, Chris, Jim, and I are still hard at work on Reincar(Nate). Perfecting, updating.

Above, in fact, is a look at page one (we have much more complete, not to worry). Keith has changed the entire first panel, and Chris made a pretty significant overhaul to the colors. It looks, in my opinion, much better and is far more dynamic of an opening that what previously was.

Reincar(Nate) will release digitally with Viper Comics in the coming months--with issue one releasing, potentially, in April--and I'll be launching a Kickstarter drive soon to fund a print version of the entire book.

Certainly more to come!
