Quarantined Contest!

How would you like to win a copy of Quarantined and some cool swag? You can! Here's how:

From now until October 21, Monty and I are running a "Get Quarantined!" contest. The winner will win a copy of the book, an original zombie sketch from Monty, and a print from Quarantined cover artist Keith Burns. Entry for the contest is simple. All you have to do is buy at least three digital issues of Quarantined on Comixology (free preview not included) and send a copy of your proof of purchase (withholding any sensitive information) to mmoreci at hotmail.com. Each issue is a low .99 cents--unlike some publishers that charge the same for digital as they do print, Quarantined is priced to sell.

A winner will be selected at random and will have a copy of the book by Halloween. Nice timing, eh?

So get the book Ain't It Cool News calls "a well-constructed creepshow with just the right pacing," and Sci-Fi Pulse says delivers "high-octane horror that doesn’t lose sight of either character or plot."

Visit the Quarantined Comixology site here.

And, watch the trailer for Quarantined right here.

I've bought the first 5 on comixology and am really enjoying it as a first comic series. Is the sixth the final comic in the series (I have yet to buy and read it)? If not, when will the next one hit the virtual store?

Hey Scott! Thanks for the message, I'm really glad you're enjoying the series. To answer your question, the sixth issue completes this arc, and brings much of the story to a satisfying end. What's on Comixology is also where the trade ends. But, we do have plans for more, come 2012! And, if you want to be in the contest, drop me a line at mmoreci at hotmail dot com.

Thanks for reading!

I'll admit I'm new to comics but the ending makes me more confused.

SPOILERS:

The bird killed them? What about the people that stayed to find a solution? Who were the armed militia?

Will this be answered in a new series?

Sorry for the abundance of questions. I really enjoyed the story and am hungry for more content and answers!

Well, the end is meant to be tragic, in its way. But there's much, much more story to tell in the Quarantined universe--volume one only scratches the surface (while still delivering, in my opinion, a contained arc).

Thanks for the quick responses Michael.

It definitely was a tragic ending. I just didn't realize that this was the definitive end. I'll be sure to read whatever else you put together in the Quarantined universe. So many questions needing answers!

No problem! I'm happy to answer any and all questions about the book. Thanks for reading!

I feel like I already won half this contest since I own the trade! I can't imagine having to wait to read the story between issues, it killed me just reading the first issue that I picked up at Dan Con and then waited for the trade. It's such a great book and series that if I do start getting digital comics (depends on what Santa brings me this year) Quarantined will be one of the first stories I purchase. Thanks for the great story Mike!

Chuck, I am seriously touched. Thanks for the kind words, I can't say how much it means to hear readers (and people with trusted opinions) are enjoying the book. The entire team worked/fought very hard to get this book made, so it's great to know that our goal of creating an enjoyable read is paying off.
